✓ Purpose

This scheme is implemented for the overall development of Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist communities by providing sanitation facilities, community halls, internal roads, piped water supply, etc. in every Dalit settlement to meet their basic needs.

✓ Nature of benefit

Government decision dated  5th December 2011  grants are given to the settlements of Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist communities in proportion to the population. The proposal is expected to be prepared by the Gram Panchayat along with the appropriate documents and submitted to the Zilla Parishad Social Welfare Department through the Group Development Officer. Also,   the power to select the work has been given to the District Level Committee as per the Government Corrigendum dated 31st December 2011  and  2nd July 2012.
